Three peanut and tree nut allergy translation cards for a winter sun holiday. Heading to the Canaries, Turkey, Egypt or Dubai? This bundle gives you a card in each language in one download, so you can explain your allergy wherever you eat.
Included (3 digital cards, each English plus the local language):
-
Spanish for Spain and the Canary Islands
-
Turkish for Turkey
-
Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) for Egypt, the UAE including Dubai, and other Arabic-speaking destinations
About the Arabic card: it is written in Modern Standard Arabic, the formal written Arabic taught and read across the Arabic-speaking world. Spoken dialects vary between countries, but MSA is understood in writing in Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon and Tunisia, and in Morocco, where many people also read French.
What each card says: that you have a peanut and tree nut allergy, that it can cause a severe reaction, a list of foods that may contain nuts, and a polite request for clean utensils, oil and cookware, ending with a thank you in the local language.
How to use them: show the right card before you order, not after. Save them on your phone so they work offline, or print and laminate copies for your wallet, day bag and hotel room.
